- Discussion - PWG FTP site has a few problems - It doesn't use individual logins - After moving to FTPS, connections are frequently unsuccessful when FTP Client is behind a corporate firewall and using an FTP Proxy - Smith proposed the following - Read-only access via FTP / HTTP for accessing data will remain as it is today - Eliminate the "single username / password" credential system currently used - EU GDPR compliance problem, among other things - Move to use SFTP with individualized accounts, authenticating using either username / password or SSH public key authentication - Ira and Mike both pointed out that SFTP is not IETF standardized (and therefore not interoperable) - So we won't use SFTP - Mike is working on updates to the PWG website document submission form to allow that to be used for secure document upload - We are moving along with figuring out the best path forward here
