(2) IBM-provided OID Arc Management
Background: Pat Fleming (IBM) and John McMeeking (IBM) have graciously assigned a permanent base OID for use by PWG in our LDAP Printer Schema update and any other future OID-based protocol activity that doesn't use IETF SMI numbers.

- Ira suggests that we treat this arc similar to the IETF SMI arc
  (PWG 2699), and insert a structure layer (e.g., LDAP, MIB, etc.)

- Ira suggests that PWG publish a small compilable SNMP MIB that lists
  all the PWG assigned ASN.1 arcs (both IETF and ITU)

ACTION: Ira to document OID arc usage in PWG

(3) Printer MIB v3 project in IETF?
Rationale: Need new supply unit value for Xerox, but they cannot be updated in RFC 3805

- Ira suggests a minimal update of RFC 3805
  - absolutely no new objects! - will save 2 years in IETF process
  - keep same editors! - simpler IETF IP process for updated RFC
  - move most/all of 33 textual conventions over to IANA Printer MIB

- Ira suggests minimal editorial changes
  - add known missing ranges to integer objects
  - delete known typos in descriptions or body text
  - update RFC and PWG document references

- Concerns about bandwidth (Ira's and PWG members') to do this
  - Should we just live with it (as for the past decade)?

- Bill will add this topic to December face-to-face as a possibility
  - including mention of the topic during the Plenary as a heads-up

ACTION: Ira to contact RFC 3805 editors in preparation for update (Ron Bergman and Harry Lewis).
